That’s what it’s all about

Key skills for getting started in care and everyday life

You will develop a sound knowledge base and methodological confidence for working in social and care settings – skills that are also of great value in everyday life.

This is how you can prepare yourself specifically for a career in a stable, rewarding field.

Your benefits

What you’ll gain from this training

  • Through our further training programme, you will gain practical skills that are essential both at work and in everyday life. You will learn how to support people in their daily lives, promote their independence and actively contribute to their quality of life.

  • Participation is fully eligible for funding – for example, through a Bildungsgutschein from the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter. This means you can gain the necessary qualifications without any financial barriers and make a targeted entry into a responsible career path.

  • You’ll study entirely online – supported by professionals from the care and support sectors. You’ll gain up-to-date knowledge, undertake practical tasks and gain real insights into working with people in need of care. You can then build on your knowledge during a two-week work placement.

  • Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate confirming your skills in support, care, communication and organisation.

After that

Your career opportunities and prospects

Once you have qualified as a Betreuungskraft in accordance with § 43b and § 53b of SGB XI, you can work in care homes, in supported living schemes, for outpatient services or on social projects. You will support people in their daily lives, providing structure and guidance whilst enhancing their well-being. Whether you’re changing careers or returning to work after a long break, this qualification offers you a recognised and practical route into the profession.

Care and support work is becoming increasingly important in Germany – professionally trained staff are in greater demand than ever before. At the same time, you’ll also benefit in your personal life: you can advise family members and become a valuable source of support in everyday life for many people.
